One of the first decisions we made about our wedding was our wedding car.
Just before Simon proposed we were discussing how we would want our “hypothetical” wedding to look (little did I know very soon it would be less “hypothetical”…).
We knew we wanted a boho wedding, think lots of flowers, rustic features and personal touches. We also want to keep some of the “wedding glam” and are keeping most wedding traditions. Including hiring a special car to bring the groom and groomsmen to the venue.
In almost no time at all, he found The Little Vintage Car Company and our perfect wedding car – Carmen!
She is a cream convertible vintage VW beetle.
According to the company website;
Carmen is our 1963 Volkswagon Cabriolet Beetle, and is one of the oldest Cabriolets available for hire in the UK. After being restored in the 1980s, and before moving to England, she starred as the centre piece in a Californian Diner.
The prices for hiring the car, with driver, were very reasonable and they have been great and easy to work with so far. We are looking forward to having Carmen as part of our most special day.
They have also converted a VW Camper into a photo booth which looks so incredible! Unfortunately it doesn’t quite work for our venue choice which is a shame, but if you have a local wedding where it fits well and you want something a little different I would recommend taking a look.
