Adult Colouring

A few years ago a friend introduced me to the calming powers of adult colouring books. Back then they were quite hard to find, but fast forward to 2016 and suddenly they are everywhere!

This has been great, as there is now a wide variety of interesting books on the market.

I find colouring a great activity for stress relief and mindfulness. It is also a great outlet for my creativity when I do not have the time to get stuck into my main crafty love of scrapbooking.

Last Christmas Simon gave me a great tattoo colouring book, and this weekend I got stuck in;

I use ProMarker pens which are pretty pricey, but I think they are worth the money for the quality and large colour range.

Also, I have had them for a good few years now (bought second hand) and almost none have run out or given me any problems like leaking or splitting. They were a big investment but I think worth it for the hours of enjoyment.

Here are some other great colouring books I would love to try;

  1.  Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is truly everywhere at the moment! I cannot wait to see the remake (tickets are already booked) and this colouring book would be great;

2. Lonely Planet

I love travel and the Lonely Planet books/magazines are great for wanderlust and useful information.

This book looks like it would be great for the wanderer soul.

3. Cats!

We love our two cats, Zoe and Waffles, and every crazy cat lady needs a cat colouring book too right?!

How do you relax/get creative?
