The Cost

It’s cheaper to get married abroad now. Travel companies are battling it out to provide the best deals for their consumers, and it’s never been easier to get to other countries. Flights can be bought for as cheap as £1 (remember to take luggage allowances into account and tax after this in some instances), and accommodation prices are lowering since the rise of, which has enabled locals to offer out their rooms for not nearly as much as it would cost for your guests to get a hotel room for the duration of their stay. It’s a great excuse for them to take a holiday.

It’s Becoming Easier

A lot more people now have passports and are used to flying to get to destinations – even if they’re in the same country. We are able to pick where and when we want to go without necessarily having to wait an awful long time for a decision to be made on things like visas and ESTA. You can go online and apply on sites like which makes things so much more convenient for us – we are  living in the internet age and don’t care who knows it! Getting things in an instant (some of these things are processed within minutes) is enough to satisfy our needs, and this ticks the box.

There’s So Much To Choose From!

You’ve got the world at your fingertips with the internet, and you are able to research absolutely anywhere in the world. Whether you are going off recommendations or are trying to organise something off your own back just to see what the place looks like, the massive resource of the world wide web will be able to point you in the right direction. Getting some sense of where you are going and what you are doing while you’re there (remember, it’s a few days more than just a wedding day!) can see you create the holiday of a lifetime. There are even quizzes online which can help you decide where you want to go based on your own personal preferences. You can’t get much more bang on than that!

Honeymoon There, Honeymoon Elsewhere

You can choose to have your honeymoon where you have flown out to or journey on from where you are. It’s definitely a nice high to start on to get your honeymoon off with a bang. It may prove cheaper flight-wise to fly from where you’re going – for example, if you were getting married in Australia but wanted to honeymoon in New Zealand, the flights would be so much more cheaper than flying direct from the UK. Make it make sense for you – and your bank account.
